Premier Tech selects Configit to improve manufacturing automation

Premier Tech, headquartered in Rivière-du-Loup, Que., has become the first Canadian customer of Configit, which develops configuration life-cycle management (CLM) software-as-a-service (SaaS) in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Specifically, the Premier Tech Systems and Automation business group will use the Configit Ace SaaS platform to improve the efficiency of its packaged product manufacturing facilities. This group, which also manufactures bulk handling equipment, uses robotics and automation to help manufacturers optimize their operations while ensuring their teams’ safety.

With Configit’s support, Premier Tech seeks to reduce the complexity of configurations, better define standards, reduce rework and increase sales through lower costs and higher speed. The partnership will also enable the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with Premier Tech’s decision support solutions.
